In this video I show you how to make a van partition. I’ll go over the special tools you’ll need as well as the tips and tricks you need to know to complete the build. This is my second time building a partition in this Ford Transit van. About 4 years ago my dad and I made a partition out of 2x4s. The wood partition served me well for almost 4 years and was still solid. But because I’m remodeling the rest of my van (Proud Mary 2.0) I decided to make a new partition wall out of metal studs.
Because I am hanging a 32″ monitor on the partition I still needed to incorporate some wood to add rigidity to the partition. A metal stud wall alone is not capable of supporting the monitor.
