I’m on a mission to give 50 random acts of kindness, 1 per state as I travel across America in my DIY camper van.
How big can the acts of kindness get? Follow to find out.
In Episode 1 I give something to homeless people that gets taken for granted every day:
After that I gave away a Red Sox playoff ticket to a young guy working The Sausage Guy stand outside of Fenway.

Then in Maine I bought a new windshield for a man parked in a random gas station parking lot.

Why am I giving these random acts of kindness?
Over the last decade I’ve walked across America on the Pacific Crest Trail and rode a bicycle across America on the TransAmerica Trail. I’ve blogged about those adventures extensively on this site:
On both of those adventures many strangers have helped me in many ways: from hitchhiking, to feeding me and giving me a place to sleep. Those acts of kindness are now memories I will never forget.
Since that time a dream of mine has been to convert a van into a tiny home and travel the United States. Originally I bought a Ford Transit cargo van back in 2016 with this dream in mind . I was ready and willing to get on the road right away. But life had other plans. Fortunately I was finally able to finish my van project in 2021 so now I live full time on the road (You can see my complete camper van conversion here). This is my way to travel the country and pay it forward.
We can do small things with great love.
I wanted to reach out and tell you that you are probably one of my favorite humans. I live in Boston and have a nonprofit foundation called Sofia’s angels. Our mission is to perform as many random acts of kindness as possible. We were lucky to stand behind people at the grocery store, the day before Thanksgiving, and pay their groceries. Now we’re gearing up to leave blankets and other warm items around Boston for the homeless. I would love to partner up with you and perform some random acts of kindness
