The Kitchen

Welp, the photo above is the kitchen tour.

One question I’ve gotten a few times, “Why is the stove so big?”

The drop in cooktop is made by Suburban. From what I can tell this is a fairly standard piece of camper equipment that is mass produced. While there are smaller two burner gas configurations that use half the space, they run about twice the price ($150 vs. $300). On the list of purchasing choices so far, this will fall in the money saving section.

One way I’m attempting to add counter space to the kitchen is a cutting board cover for the sink. Its something I actually purchased as an accessory along with the “home bar” sized sink (12″ W x 15″ L x 7″ D).

The top of the fridge will act as counter top real estate as well. If necessary I’ll put together some hinged leafs where they make sense for a little extra kitchen real estate.

The material/color of the counter top itself is still up in the air.

I am certainly open to suggestions.
