I decided to take the best of my car content on that channel and focus it here on the Car Consultant. That way there’s no confusion with my other videos, I’m here to help you earn a fair shake in the car buying process.
So why do I take the time to make these videos and help you get a better deal on your next car?
Back in 2016, I realized that if I worked hard I got paid the same. If I was lazy I got paid the same. And if I called in sick, I still got paid the same. So I quit my job as a civil engineer to hike from the U.S. border of Mexico to the U.S. border of Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail. That hike took me six months.
When I finished I decided to live a life where the results were a function of my actions. I got into the car business as my first commission sales job. I saw sales as a ready-made opportunity earn a living in a result-oriented business.
From there I moved on to engineering sales, and for the last couple years I’ve worked for myself renovating and flipping houses.
I see YouTube as another opportunity to work for myself. And in order to do that I need to provide value. I know negotiating car price is something I can do well. And I know if I can help YouTubers save money on their next car purchase that eventually some of that will come back to me.
