There was more danger at the finish than perhaps understood by those that followed the blog. By all accounts I’ve come across, I was the last to finish. One other hiker behind me has yet to be found.
The Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) is a private organization that plans, protects, and promotes the Pacific Crest Trail. The PCTA’s work is invaluable. Through a system of volunteers, donations, and staff they are able to preserve the PCT for generations to come.
